Located inside the Golf Shop, Catawba Island Club’s state-of-the-art fitness center is available daily and offers cardio machines, a variety of weight selections, TRX cables and so much more! An aerobics room also is available for several fitness classes, including yoga.

Meet Our Staff

Tonia Copsey, Yoga Instructor

Tonia Copsey enjoys teaching a gentle yoga flow that is grounded in awareness, alignment and safety.

Most recently, she became a Certified Functional and Nutritional Medicine Practitioner, which led her to the creation of Calm Over Chaos Functional Health Consulting. She previously trained in Hatha yoga, a slower, static style of yoga, from 2018-19, completing her RYT 200 certification.

Tonia, who earned her nursing degree in 2001 and her master’s in 2013, also completed her training in Essentials of Yoga Nursing, a course for nurses who also are yoga instructors to create health, peace and wisdom, while working to relieve stress, anxiety, pain and suffering for fellow nurses, patients and all students of yoga. She also completed classes in Trauma Informed Yoga & Mindfulness, as well as Yoga for Everyone.

Tonia enjoys caring for other people, and yoga gives her the opportunity to care for herself. When she is not caring for others or practicing yoga, you can find her crafting, baking and enjoying time on the water in Port Clinton with her husband and fur baby, Rivers.
