Located inside the Golf Shop, Catawba Island Club’s state-of-the-art fitness center is available daily and offers cardio machines, a variety of weight selections, TRX cables and so much more! An aerobics room also is available for several fitness classes, including yoga.

Yoga Medicine
Every Saturday | 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Beginning Saturday, June 6, and ending Saturday, September 5
Yoga Medicine blends traditional yoga with applied anatomy and functional movement to support strength, mobility and recovery. Held on the lakefront, weather permitting, this intentional and therapeutic class is accessible and beneficial for all levels.

Water Aerobics
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday | 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Beginning Monday, June 1, and ending Thursday, September 10
Through the natural resistance of the water, get ready to strengthen and tone your muscles, promote circulation and enhance flexibility. This class is for all fitness levels.

Meet Our Staff
Brayden Martin, Fitness Instructor
Brayden Martin is the founder and head coach of ELITE Performance Training & Rehabilitation at Catawba Island Club. A native of Sandusky, Ohio, Brayden has deep roots in the Shores & Islands community and brings a strong passion for performance, discipline and long-term development to everything he does, both inside and outside the gym.
A former multi-sport athlete and quarterback at Sandusky High, Brayden has dedicated more than six years to coaching youth, high school and collegiate athletes, as well as adults of all ages. He works with athletes and teams throughout the area, including individuals who have gone on to earn Division I football scholarships.
Brayden specializes in strength training, athletic performance, mobility, speed and agility, injury prevention and functional fitness. His training philosophy centers on building strong, resilient bodies through intelligent individualized programming. Whether the goal is maximizing athletic performance, preventing injury or simply moving and feeling better, Brayden is committed to helping every client reach their full potential.
Tonia Copsey, All Levels Yoga Instructor
Tonia Copsey has been teaching yoga for over eight years, offering a thoughtful, functional approach to movement that supports strength, balance, flexibility and longevity. Her classes are intentional, accessible and adaptable, designed to help students move with confidence both on and off the mat.
In addition to her yoga training, Tonia has practiced as a nurse practitioner for 13 years. Her medical background deeply informs her teaching, with a strong emphasis on joint protection, injury prevention, posture and sustainable movement patterns. She understands how the body evolves through midlife and beyond, and she thoughtfully integrates functional strength, mobility and nervous system regulation into every practice.
At Catawba Island Club, Tonia fosters a welcoming environment, where members of all experience levels can build strength, improve balance, increase flexibility and reduce stress. Whether supporting an active lifestyle on the water or promoting overall wellness, her goal is to help each participant feel stronger, steadier and more resilient in everyday life.
Dr. Diana A. Kyrkos Davenport, Yoga Medicine Instructor
At Catawba Island Club, Dr. Diana A. Kyrkos Davenport brings a unique blend of medical expertise and mindful movement to every class she leads.
A diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Diana pairs her deep understanding of anatomy and physiology with more than 15 years of personal yoga practice. She earned her first yoga certification in 2017 and has since expanded her credentials to include RYT E-500 through Yoga Alliance, Y12SR Certified Space Holder, Mad Dogg Athletics Spin Instructor, Barre Flow Instructor and Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body.
From 2017 through June 2025, she taught at Soul Stretch Yoga and Cycle, where she refined her approach to integrating the medical application of physiology into yoga and Pilates instruction. Her goal is to provide accessible, affordable classes for all levels, creating a safe, welcoming environment, where members can build strength, mobility and overall well-being.
Amy Foust, Water Aerobics Instructor
Amy Foust brings energy, creativity and heart to every water aerobics class at Catawba Island Club. Known for her innovative approach, she incorporates dynamic equipment and motivating music to create workouts that are engaging, effective and anything but boring.
A native of Delphos, Ohio, Amy moved to Port Clinton in 2014 and became a certified Dance2Fit instructor in 2018. She later developed her own choreographed fitness style set to rock and pop-rock music, designed to mirror physical therapy–inspired movements and help her stay strong while living with a connective tissue disorder and fibromyalgia. She also taught water aerobics at Danbury Schools, returning to the pool with renewed passion after recovering from thumb joint reconstruction surgery.
A former concert promoter who once cooked for touring rock bands, Amy seamlessly blends her love of music and fitness to create an energizing, results-driven experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations in 2019, reflecting her passion for communication and creativity in every endeavor.
Amy also is a proud mom and “Gaga” to two grandchildren and enjoys rock concerts, boating, motorcycle rides and trips to Cedar Point, bringing that same adventurous spirit and enthusiasm to every class she leads.
